Authentic tales of Appalachian history manifest along the streets at Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales throughout the summer! At 6 p.m. each evening in downtown Gatlinburg, costumed performers kick off the entertainment along the Parkway with singing, dancing, and storytelling as they impersonate characters from periods as early as the 1800s. Tourists stroll along this iconic road all throughout the day weaving into the shops and restaurants that line the street, and this nighttime activity has got them crowding along the sidewalks as well. 

The streets literally come alive with the history and culture of the yesteryears in mountain country! The cast performs simultaneously and rotates throughout the night until 11 p.m., so you're sure to find something that will peak the interest of each member of your family. The acts consist of singers and musical performances of various sizes ranging from solos, duos, trios as well as dancing groups of cloggers.
